After the announcement by Archer Aviation and Anduril Industries yesterday I decided to connect some dots…
Donald Trump -> JD Vance -> Peter Thiel (Founders Fund, Palantir) -> Trae Stephens & Palmer Luckey (Anduril Industies) -> ACHR!
I guess Elon Musk may fit in there somewhere what with his connections to many of those named.
If you aren’t aware of the connections I am making here, then you may want to do some research. In time I will try to flesh out some basics here those short of time.
EDIT 12/24/24: Post updated following the X.com post by Nikhil Goel celebrating the return of friend, Emil Michael to the White House as Undersecretary of Defense for Research & Engineering. See below.
Emil Michael as recently appointed Undersecretary of Defense for Research & Engineering for the incoming administration will also hopefully help strengthen connections between Archer Aviation and the White House, given his friendship and shared history with Nikhil Goel, Chief Commercial Officer at Archer Aviation.
EDIT 12/28/24: Post updated after pondering how the incoming US President Donald Trump appears to have been supporting US eVTOL (aka ‘flying cars’) manufacturers as part of his evolving plan since at least March 2023. See below.
‘Just as the United States led the automotive revolution in the last century, I want to ensure that America – not China – leads this revolution in air mobility,‘ Trump said in the video, which he posted on his social media platform Truth Social. ‘These breakthroughs can transform commerce, bring a giant infusion of wealth into rural America, and connect families and our country in new ways.’ Source.
EDIT 01/08/25: Adam Goldstein, Archer Aviation CEO, recently attended Mar-a-Lago where he said the following; ‘The new administration has shown they’re forward-leaning on eVTOL and I saw this continue to play out during my recent visit to Mar-a-Lago. The transition team is clearly engaged in ensuring the US maintains our leadership position in global aerospace innovation which is great news for the AAM sector.’ Source.

when moon?
Welcome visitor from r/wallstreetbets!
Xaffodd and I see great potential for Archer Aviation’s ‘flying car’ but do not recommend taking it to the moon. It is cold up there!
Better to ride ACHR to the sky in our opinion. To the sky! 🛸
