While the revised and more short term Lunar Terrain Vehicle contract is notably different from the original anticipated $4.6b potential contract announced in 2024 (at about $220m now iirc), it is still pleasing to see Intuitive Machines playing a leading role in NASA’s moon base plans with its Nova-C Trinity lunar lander, even if not providing a vehicle as part of the dramatically reduced initial vehicle contract award.
What’s more is that further awards are planned for later this year, including further lunar payload awards, so hopefully that is where Intuitive Machines will see its role expanding as it assists NASA in their moon base plans. 🤞
