‘A British-based flying taxi company which counts the former head of MI5 among its board members is close to landing a capital injection worth more than $800m (£600m).
I have learnt that Vertical Aerospace, which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, is in advanced talks about securing new funding aimed at seeing it through to the launch of commercial operations.
Banking sources said a fundraising, which could include several different forms of capital, could be announced as early as this week.’
