Well I am pleased to say that mains power has finally been restored, three days and nights after storm Amy, and the heating is now back on and our fridge-freezer is no longer a fancy cupboard!
I won’t beat about the bush… this punchy post (a relief after my last some might say!) is simply to say a big thank you to all those that have helped out over the last few days. While we do not know many of your names, there is a part of us that cherishes those that help others, particularly doing so in the knowledge your efforts may never be known or acknowledged.
So, from my better half and I, with the thoughts shared no doubt by many others in our community… many thanks and much kudus to you all, whoever you are! 🫶
